A unos ochenta kilómetros al noreste de la República Dominicana, se encuentra el punto más profundo del océano Atlántico, con una profundidad máxima de 8,605 metros bajo el nivel del mar. Es el límite invisible entre el Mar Caribe y el Océano Atlántico, un lugar donde la luz se disuelve y el silencio lo envuelve todo.
Cerca de ese abismo, en las profundidades donde ningún ser humano ha llegado, viajeros celestes descendieron desde Galatea, una de las 16 lunas de Neptuno. Eran seres superiores dioses, diosas, musas que, tras un largo viaje cósmico, descubrieron una isla sumergida, un territorio oculto lleno de vida, un ecosistema imposible que desafiaba toda lógica.
Allí construyeron una villa luminosa, una fusión de naturaleza y tecnología avanzada, una especie de High Tech Village.
Con el paso del tiempo, estos seres comenzaron a transformarse. Su apariencia se volvió más humana, más cercana al entorno que los rodeaba. Aprendieron a respirar bajo el agua, a comunicarse con la corriente, a reimaginar la vida más allá de lo que la superficie conoce.
El espectador se enfrenta a una historia que mezcla mito y ciencia, belleza y evolución.
Un recordatorio de que incluso bajo el mar, donde todo parece silencio, la vida sigue reinventándose.

The Island Beneath the Sea
A few eighty kilometers to the northeast of the Dominican Republic, is the deepest point in the Atlantic Ocean, with a maximum depth of 8,605 meters below sea level. It is the invisible border between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, a place where light dissolves and silence envelops everything.
Near that abyss, in the depths where no human being has ever ventured, celestial travelers descended from Galatea, one of Neptune's sixteen moons. They were superior beings, gods, goddesses, muses who, after a long cosmic journey, discovered a submerged island, a hidden territory full of life, an impossible ecosystem that defied all logic.
There they built a luminous villa, a fusion of nature and advanced technology, a kind of High Tech Village.
Over time, these beings began to transform. Their appearance became more human, closer to their surroundings. They learned to breathe underwater, to communicate with the current, to reimagine life beyond what the surface knows.
The viewer faces a history that mixes myth and science, beauty and evolution.
A reminder that even under the sea, where everything seems silent, life continues to reinvent itself.

In this series of generated photographs, The Signature II, reference is made to the work of Renee Cox, an artist from Jamaica living in the United States, The Signing, where she replaces the founding fathers of the United States, from Howard Chandler Christy's work, Scene of the signing of the Constitution, with Afro-descendant characters and deconstructs stereotypes to reconfigure her personal vision, as written by Kathleen Goncharov. Reference was also taken from the French artist Théodore Chassériau, in the costumes and some characteristics of the body in his oil paintings.
During the abolitionist processes and the independence struggles, there were no local artists in the Caribbean, which meant a trans-territorial look at French art, as mentioned by Dr. Yolanda Wood, in her writing on (Re)thinking the 19th century, New Historical-Artistic Views.
This artistic project seeks to integrate the inclusion of gender, race and social status in history within a contemporary context and carried out with advanced technology.
En esta serie de fotografías generadas, La Firma II, se hace referencia a la obra de Renee Cox, artista de Jamaica que vive en los Estados Unidos, The Signing, donde reemplaza a los padres fundadores de los Estados Unidos, de la obra de Howard Chandler Christy, Escena de la firma de la Constitución, por personajes afrodescendientes y deconstruye estereotipos para reconfigurar su visión personal, según escribió Kathleen Goncharov.
También se tomó referencia del artista francés Théodore Chassériau, en el vestuario y algunas características del cuerpo en de sus pinturas al óleo.
Durante los procesos abolicionistas y las luchas independentistas, no había artistas locales en el Caribe, lo que significó una mirada trans territorial en el arte francés, como lo menciona la Dra. Yolanda Wood, en su escrito de (Re) pensar el siglo XIX, Nuevas Miradas Históricas- Artísticas.
Este proyecto artístico trata de integrar la inclusión de género, raza y condición social en la historia dentro de un contexto contemporáneo y realizado con tecnología avanzada.

A study between man and his environment.
Man is a paradoxical being, incomprehensible, complex and in apparent contradiction. Without man, life would only exist in a state of limbo, transitory or animal.
This project arises from the need to fill the exhibition halls during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.
Anthropology, from the Greek ἄνθρωπος ánthrōpos, "man (human)", and λόγος, logos, "knowledge" is the science that studies the human being in an integral way, from his physical characteristics as an animal and his culture, which is the unique non-biological feature.

Un estudio entre el hombre y su medio ambiente.
El hombre es un ser paradójico, incomprensible, complejo y en una aparente contradicción. Sin el hombre solo existiría la vida en un estado de limbo, transitorio o animal.
Este proyecto surge de la necesidad de llenar las salas expositivas durante la pandemia del COVID-19.
La antropología (del griego ἄνθρωπος ánthrōpos, «hombre (humano)», y λόγος, logos, «conocimiento») es la ciencia que estudia al ser humano de una forma integral, de sus características físicas como animales y de su cultura, que es el rasgo único no biológico.
